When I saw that artist Michael Brack was selling the original “The Reaper,” which was used for the cover of Empire’s first edition, Ben Rogers told me that if I wasn’t the one to buy it, I ought to be locked up (or something to that effect – actually, it may have been nothing like that). But he was right nonetheless. So here it is – framed and on display right behind my desk - The Reaper!

Thanks to Michael for signing the drawing and shipping it all the way from France. And, of course, for providing Empire with its iconic cover image, and a theme continuing with the new edition from Permuted Press and Gallery Books.

That is a sharp drawing. I have to agree-if you didn't buy this, you should have been hung up by your short and curlies! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that cover! Congratulations, Dave on getting the original.
